La chiesa Parrocchiale di Pieve è dedicata a San Giovanni Battista, patrono del Comune di Tremosine sul Garda fin dal Medio Evo. L’attuale struttura sorge sui resti di due edifici: una cappella del VIII – IX secolo e una chiesa in stile romanico, con battistero esterno, dedicato a Santa Maria (citata in una bolla di Papa Urbano III del 1186), costruita dopo l’abbattimento della cappella precedente.
Della chiesa romanica restano in alzato il campanile e alcuni muri della canonica “vecchia”. Intorno al 1570 la pieve fu demolita e fu costruito un nuovo edificio sacro, dedicato a San Giovanni Battista, successivamente allungato nel ‘600.
L’organo, la cantoria, i confessionali, gli scranni del Presbiterio ed il bancone in legno della sacrestia sono opere del primo settecento di un provetto quanto poco conosciuto scultore del legno, Giacomo Lucchini di Castelcondino (Trento).
L’ingresso alla Chiesa è consentito gratuitamente. Ricordiamo di portare rispetto indipendentemente dal motivo della visita. The Parish Church of Pieve is devoted to St. John the Baptist, protector of Tremosine sul Garda since the Middle Ages. The present building stands over the remains of two edifices: a chapel from the VII-IX century and Romanesque Church devoted to St. Mary (mentioned in a bull from Pope Urban III in 1186) that was built after the demolition of the previous chapel and wich had a detached baptistery. Of the Romanesque Church we still have the bell tower and some walls of the old rectory. Around the year 1570 the Church was demolished and a new sacred building, devoted to St. John the Baptist was erected and later extended in the 1600s. The organ, the choir, the presbitery and the wooden counter of the sacristy were made in the early 1700s by an expert, but not very famous, wood sculptor named Giacomo Lucchini from Castelcondino (Trento).
Entrance to the Church is allowed free of charge.

Die Pfarrkirche von Pieve ist dem heiligen Johannes dem Täufer gewidmet, der seit dem Mittelalter Beschützer von Tremosine sul Garda ist. Das heutige Gebäude steht über den Überresten von zwei Gebäuden: einer Kapelle aus dem VII-IX. Jahrhundert und einer romanischen Kirche, die der heiligen Maria gewidmet ist (erwähnt in einem Stier von Papst Urban III. Im Jahr 1186), die nach dem Abriss der vorherigen Kapelle und erbaut wurde die ein freistehendes Baptisterium hatte. Von der romanischen Kirche haben wir noch den Glockenturm und einige Mauern des alten Pfarrhauses. Um das Jahr 1570 wurde die Kirche abgerissen und ein neues heiliges Gebäude, das dem heiligen Johannes dem Täufer gewidmet war, errichtet und später im 17. Jahrhundert erweitert. Die Orgel, der Chor, das Presbitery und die hölzerne Theke der Sakristei wurden Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts von einem erfahrenen, aber nicht sehr berühmten Holzbildhauer namens Giacomo Lucchini aus Castelcondino (Trento) hergestellt.
