Punto molto caratteristico del nucleo antico di Pieve: una scala semicircolare in pietra, chiamata, per la sua caratteristica forma, “la Scala Tonda”. Poco più avanti, sempre lungo l’attuale Via Scala Tonda, vi è l’ingresso di casa Cozzaglio “Bruschi”, casa natale di Arturo Cozzaglio (1862 – 1950).
Arturo Cozzaglio è ricordato come uno dei personaggi più importanti della storia di Tremosine: fu geometra, professore di Scienze Naturali al Liceo Bagatta di Desenzano del Garda, appassionato studioso di geologia e progettista di molte opere di interesse pubblico, tra le quali la celebre strada che collega Vesio al Porto di Tremosine, oggi conosciuta come “strada della Forra”. La strada fu inaugurata nel 1913 e creò un collegamento diretto tra Tremosine e il lago, togliendo così l’altopiano dal suo secolare isolamento.
Arturo Cozzaglio rimase sempre profondamente affezionato a questo luogo, molte sono le foto che lo ritraggono seduto sui gradini, tanto che nel paese gli venne attribuito il soprannome di “Arturo de la Scala Tonda”.
This is a very representative spot of the ancient core of Pieve: a semi – circular set of stone stairs, called “the round stairs” because of their characteristic shape. Ahead, along Via Scala Tonda street, you come the entrance of House Cozzaglio “Bruschi”, birthplace of Arturo Cozzaglio (1862 – 1950).
Arturo Cozzaglio is remebered as one of the most important personalities in the history of Tremosine: he was a surveyor, professor of Natural Sciences at Liceo Bagatta in Desenzano del Garda, passionate scholar of geology and he designed many infrastructural works, including the well-known road wich connects Vesio to the porto of Tremosine (today known as “strada della Forra”): The road was inaugurated in 1913 and created a direct connection between Tremosine and the lake, releasing the upland from its centuries – old isolation.
Arturo Cozzaglio was very fond of this place (many pictures portray him sat on there steps), to the point that the people from the village started to refer to him as “Arturo from the Round Stairs”.
Dies ist ein sehr repräsentativer Ort des alten Kerns von Pieve: eine halbkreisförmige Steintreppe, die aufgrund ihrer charakteristischen Form als „runde Treppe“ bezeichnet wird. Vor Ihnen, entlang der Straße Via Scala Tonda, gelangen Sie zum Eingang des Hauses Cozzaglio „Bruschi“, dem Geburtsort von Arturo Cozzaglio (1862 – 1950).
Arturo Cozzaglio gilt als eine der wichtigsten Persönlichkeiten in der Geschichte von Tremosin: Er war Landvermesser, Professor für Naturwissenschaften am Liceo Bagatta in Desenzano del Garda, leidenschaftlicher Geologiestudent und entwarf viele Infrastrukturarbeiten, darunter die bekannten Straße, die Vesio mit dem Porto von Tremosin verbindet, heute bekannt als „Strada della Forra“.
Die Straße wurde 1913 eingeweiht und stellte eine direkte Verbindung zwischen Tremosin und dem See her, wodurch das Hochland von seiner jahrhundertealten Isolation befreit wurde.
Arturo Cozzaglio mochte diesen Ort sehr, viele Bilder zeigen ihn, wie er auf den Stufen saß, bis zu dem Punkt, dass die Leute aus dem Dorf anfingen, ihn als “Arturo von der runden Treppe” zu bezeichnen.
